Jon Janowicz is a Supervisory Hydrologist with the U.S. Geological Survey at the New Jersey Water Science Center in Lawrenceville, New Jersey.  He oversees hydrologic studies and supervises a section of 10 scientists.   His section is involved in a variety of surface water studies including flood documentation; stream flow statistics; water use and water quality analysis as well as GIS projects within New Jersey and across the country.  He began working for the USGS in January, 2016 after working 16 years with the National Flood Insurance Program within FEMA preparing Flood Insurance Studies and Maps.  Jon is a registered professional engineer (PE).  He holds a BS and MS in Agricultural Engineering from Michigan State University.
