Edward Apalinski is a GIS Specialist with the NJ Department of Environmental Protection with 20 years’ broad experience in GIS. He began his career at NJDEP with the Safe Drinking Water Program. While there he managed the production of Source Water Assessment reports for all drinking water systems in the state. In 2012, Ed transferred to the Bureau of GIS and coordinated GIS efforts using ArcGIS Online for Superstorm Sandy Wet Debris removal from the state’s tidal waters. He currently serves as the NJDEP AGO Administrator facilitating the department’s use of AGO mobile mapping applications and story maps. He has a BS degree in Environmental Studies from the Richard Stockton College of NJ. While not at work he uses GPS to find his golf ball and map his many bike rides.
