Matt Mathan started the Union County GIS system in 1999. He is known as the father of Union County GIS system. By trade he is an engineer and has 20+ years of experience in engineering, management, information technology, SQL database and teaching. He has a passion for technology;designed and implemented the enterprise GIS system from the cradle of inception. Has successfully coordinated and promoted the County's GIS program into 21 politically divided townships. Every aspect of GIS success came from my ideas and has a proactive role in county government.
