Michael Stepowyj became a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Research Fellow with the Meadowlands Environmental Research Institute (MERI) in 2015 after studying Geosciences at Stony Brook University. His roles within MERI include managing the spatial and attribute information for over 100,000 parcels within fourteen municipalities encompassing the Meadowlands district. He is tasked with acquiring and maintaining stormwater and sanitary spatial data derived from asbuilt and AutoCAD drawings. Michael provides static and web map products as well as developing geospatial datasets in support to local, private, and educational entities.
